RC shocks are misleading in their name (number), the 2.0 shocks are the more rugged and higher rated for off road use while the 2.2 shocks are a little softer for more street use, they usually include the 2.2 with the lift kits and you have to call and ask them to substitute 2.0 shocks instead.687 posts · Joined 2007. #4 · Sep 27, 2007. Skyjacker and Rough Country are both made by Monroe, i.e. they are the same shock. The Hydro's (oil filled) are better "softer" riding than the Nitro (gas charged) "stiffer" shock.
